Interventional Radiologist
Dr. Pat Harty is a practicing Interventional Radiologist with Radiology Consultants of the Midwest in Omaha, Nebraska. He has been in practice for 18 years, the first 16 of which were in Sacramento, California. He was Chief of Interventional Radiology for Radiology Associates of Sacramento for many years, and later worked for Sutter Medical Group and served as director of the downtown outpatient IR center both before and after the groups merged. Dr. Harty was involved early on in building outpatient IR centers in 2008 and 2011.
Dr. Harty’s special interest is in peripheral artery disease, and he teaches both locally and nationally for Boston Scientific and Shockwave Medical. He has used the Jetstream device since 2011, and has performed over 500 cases. Most recently he has been particularly interested in the use of combination therapy with atherectomy, IVL, and DCB.
Dr. Harty graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Honors English in 1996. He earned his medical degree from Creighton University in 2000, and served as class president. He also did his medical internship and Diagnostic Radiology residency at Creighton University. His fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology was completed at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria program, where he learned his passion for peripheral arterial disease in the very vascular-heavy fellowship there.
In addition to PAD, he also enjoys treating venous thromboembolic disease and was very instrumental in building the DVT and PE program at his current practice over the past 2 years. Outside of work, he enjoys gravel racing and competed in the CrossFit Games team finals in Carson, CA in 2010.
