Interventional Cardiologist

John Lee, M.D. is a fellowship-trained, board-certified specialist in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, echocardiography, and vascular medicine. He has extensive expertise in catheter-based treatments for coronary artery disease, advanced cardiac imaging, and peripheral vascular disease, including complex coronary disease, carotid artery disease, and claudication.

Dr. Lee graduated Cum Laude from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology, where he was recognized with the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award in Chemistry. He earned his medical degree from the University of Southern California – Keck School of Medicine, where he was honored with the prestigious Stanley J. Sarnoff Endowment for Cardiovascular Sciences.

He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, followed by clinical and research fellowships in cardiology at the University of California, Los Angeles. He then pursued an interventional cardiology fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute, Baylor College of Medicine/St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital Program in Houston.

Dr. Lee is a two-time recipient of the Tibor Fabian Research Award from UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine STAR program. He is a Diplomate of the National Board of Echocardiography and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
